Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competes within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in the year 2011, and was crowned the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO followed by 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged absence from MMA. She was back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. After this win, Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi by the unanimous verdict. But, she fell in her second fight due to a split verdict. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
